Westfield London Retail Centre - Whitecity Works Web Site

Working in partnership with Westfield London, London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, Jobcentre Plus and Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College, Tendis developed and delivered the Whitecity Works initiative, which was responsible for the provision of job brokerage and training support to employers and jobseekers prior to the opening of the Westfield London Retail Centre in October 2008.

Partnership co-ordination was underpinned by Tendis' development of a dedicated website, www.whitecityworks.co.uk, which advertised live vacancies and provided access to online support and information. Supported by an extensive marketing campaign, which combined innovative, online, postal and drop in registration complemented by estate based information events and training, leading to:

Over 3,000 unemployed residents registering for support
Over 3 million website hits

359 Hammersmith and Fulham residents accessing employment at the centre by the time of opening
95% of all Westfield London stores, business and sub contractors utilising the Whitecity Works services
2,100 Hammersmith and Fulham residents accessing pre-employment training
430 separate job descriptions, many representing multiple vacancies, posted on the website.
